AD x Hand & Lock / Backpack Sells For Record Amount!

Update: Alfie Douglas backpack sells for a record amount!

As you may know we collaborated with Hand & Lock earlier this year on their special 250 year anniversary, creating a unique embroidered leather backpack.

We are proud to announce that our bag sold for an amazing £1,250 following a world tour, gala dinner and charity auction.

A great big thank you to all involved...

--------

Hand & Lock cordially invite you to attend our 250th anniversary gala dinner and charity auction at Drapers Hall on Wednesday 6th December. The dinner and auction will benefit two charities that support craftsmanship and design, The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) and the annual H&L Prize for Embroidery.
On the night, Sotheby’s will preside over an auction of one of a kind hand embroidered designer bags produced by Hand & Lock in cooperation with a variety of designers including Aspinal of London, Asprey, Lulu Guinness and Vivienne Westwood. A total of thirteen unique bags will be auctioned, each one a bespoke made collaboration between the embroidery house and the respective designer. As part of the evening’s entertainment, QEST will provide scholars to demonstrate the specialist skills the charity works tirelessly to help preserve and maintain.
To celebrate Hand & Lock’s 250th anniversary and help secure the future of British craftsmanship we invite you to book a seat or table and bid generously on the exquisite hand-made bags being auctioned.
Guests are invited to arrive between 19.00 and 19.30 with the evening’s festivities commencing at 19.30 with a champagne and canapé reception. Guests will then sit down to a specially prepared three course meal in the spectacular Livery Hall. All attendees will receive a selection of memorable VIP gifts from our sponsors and supporters. A table seating ten people is £1,750 and a single seat is £190. This can be booked by phoning the Hand & Lock atelier directly on 020 7580 7488 or by visiting www.handembroidery.com/auction.
